It was such a refreshing read. I had it on audio + let it play while I tackled some tasks and it was about a few hours to finish it up. Genesis puts into perspective that god grieves our unfaithfulness to him yet he still faithful through and through. Which I found to be sad and hopeful at the same time.
I did it! It took me just a little over 3 hours. I was reminded just how control God is in. Your take about him being the initiator is right on, I had a few distractions that could have made me stop, but God kept me going, he did not let me stop. I see that I need to listen and see what he’s putting before me, God knows I need this in my life right now. Thank you for this opportunity.
Hi Everyone! Happy New Year! I’m half way there.... I plan to continue it after I put my toddler down for a nap. Pray that the day doesn’t get away from me and that God gives me the determination to complete Day 1!
I completed day 1. I’ve never done anything like that before. It really was cool to read the Bible through like that. Your email take away is spot on and affirms what I read. Thank you. My eyeballs are sore.
I had the Bible app up on the website and listened to each chapter at 1.5x speed. I can't really do 2x because I hardly take in a word, it's so fast. It took me nearly two hours, but day 1 is finished. It was harder that it was a day off.
I think tomorrow returning to a daily rhythm, this might be a little bit easier. We'll see. Finishing an entire book of the Bible on day 2 will be really cool.
All finished! It felt a lot faster than I expected it to. It reminded me that having faith even in uncertainty of Gods plan is a crucial part of following God. Just like Abraham sometimes we are asked to do things that we may not want to (I know I would NEVER want to sacrifice my child) trusting in God and his plan for you is a major part in being a follower.
Day 1 down 👊🏻! Crazy one day we went from creation 👉🏻Adam and Eve👉🏻Noah👉🏻Abraham and Sarah👉🏻Issac and Rebecca👉🏻Jacob, Rachel, and Leah👉🏻Judah and Tamar👉🏻and end with Jospeh!
Are we reading from page one onward or is there a certain order ? I’m supper in ! Just trying to find if we are following a plan or just jumping right in on page 1.
What an amazing outcome for Joseph I love how he forgives his brothers and tells them God allowed what they did to him to be used for good . . Moses journey to be used by God even when he did not feel qualified, God still made a way with his brother Aaron to be the spokesman to Pharoah God is faithful in his deliverance of Israel out of Egypt, and God is deliberate in his commands to build the tabernacle.

The faithfulness of God is SO on display in Genesis! It's crazy!
Good read while house is quiet.
God had a plan for the world regardless of our human frailties. He is in control. We have the choice to trust him in this life.
I did it, yay!
Way to go!!

I like the way God was in every situation and let them fail before you help them out. Before God help them out.
Wow! Just finished Day 1 and wow! Once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down. I am definitely excited for tomorrow.
That’s so good! It’s all about momentum and you got that going now!!
I also listened to it on audio, easier to do while taking care of our one year old. Just some observations that came to mind:
-The sons of Noah cover the sins of their father and even avert their eyes.
-God allows humans to multiply, proving He hasn't given up on us.
-Nations seem to come along almost organically.
-The actions of Lots daughters prove that ancient people valued very different things than we do now.

Long read but good.
If you listen to God he will provide.
